The Society of Medical Ultrasonography invites the submissions of abstracts for presentation at the EUROSON School: Current Concepts in Diagnostic and Interventional Ultrasound course, to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 3–4, 2026. Abstract submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:
1. General Information
Abstracts must be original and pertain to ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to novel research, case studies, imaging techniques, and clinical applications.
Submissions will be accepted in English only.
Deadline for abstract submission: August 30, 2026, 23:59 CET.
Notification of acceptance will be communicated by September 21, 2026.
2. Eligibility
Submissions are open to all healthcare professionals, researchers, and students interested in ultrasound.
Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentations. Presenters must register for the course to participate.
3. Abstract Format
Title: Should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the abstract.
Authors: List all contributing authors with the presenting author marked with an asterisk (*). Include affiliations for each author.
The abstract should include the following sections:
Aim: Brief context and purpose of the study.
Methods: Description of the study design, techniques, or methodology.
Results: Summary of key findings.
Conclusion: Implications of the findings.
Figures and Tables: One figure or table may be included. Ensure high resolution and clarity.
References: Up to three references may be included, but are not mandatory.
Word Limit: The body of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.
4. Submission Process
Abstract submissions for the symposium must be sent in Word format exclusively to elif.eser@bosphorusmice.net.
Submissions sent to any other email address, as well as those sent via fax, postal mail, or delivered by hand, will not be accepted. Ensure all fields in the submission form are completed accurately.
Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
5. Evaluation Criteria
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee based on:
Relevance to ultrasound imaging.
Scientific merit and originality.
Clarity and organization of content.
Compliance with submission guidelines.
6. Presentation Formats
Oral Presentations: Selected abstracts will be allocated a 7-minute presentation slot followed by a 3-minute Q&A session.
Poster Presentations: Posters will be displayed throughout the course.
7. Registration
All presenting authors must register for the course by September 4, 2026. Failure to register may result in the withdrawal of the abstract.
